Mick holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A., cum laude, from Whitman College. He served as Deputy D.A. in Portland, Oregon, Assistant Attorney General for American Samoa, and Deputy Attorney General, founding head of the Consumer Protection Division, Chief Trial Counsel, and Solicitor General for the Oregon Department of Justice. He was on the Oregon Court of Appeals for 8 years and on the Oregon Supreme Court for 25 years. He has taught at the National Judicial College for 44 years, receiving NJC’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and has been a adjunct professor at Lewis and Clark and Willamette Schools of Law. He’s now an administrative law and appellate specialist at Schwabe, Williamson and Wyatt law firm in Portland and also mediates and arbitrates.
