Darlene Hemerka is a Hearing Examiner for the Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission (PHRC). Before joining PHRC, she was a staff attorney at the Legal Clinic for the Disabled where she educated families and practitioners on alternatives to guardianship for adults with disabilities and represented tenants in in front of the Philadelphia Fair Housing Commission. She also worked at the Public Interest Law Center. Before joining the Law Center, she was a judicial law clerk at the Superior Court of New Jersey, conducting mediation in small claims cases, drafting orders in family matters, and communicating with attorneys and self-represented litigants.
