Digital evidence is any information that is stored or transmitted electronically. It can be found on computers, cell phones, and other digital devices. This class will provide attendees with the tools and knowledge to evaluate evidentiary issues, including developing technological evidence. After this session, you should be able to formulate a framework for the admissibility of digital evidence, recognize the unique admissibility issues presented by digital evidence, and competently rule on the admission of digital evidence. If you are offered digital evidence in your hearings, this class will benefit you.
