Jimmy Stokes is a former college chemistry professor, high school principal, and served as disciplinary hearing officer for many Georgia school districts for over 10 years. He recently retired as the Executive Director of the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL) and, through his affiliation with GAEL, has trained hearing officers and tribunal members throughout Georgia. He continues to assist GAEL as Policy Analyst. He holds three degrees in chemistry and education from the University of Georgia and an MPA from the University of West Georgia. He is also a registered lobbyist for the Georgia General Assembly. Jimmy is a long-time member of NAHO, received hearing officer certification from NAHO, and now Chairs NAHO’s Certification Committee.
