As Director of the Office of Adjudications for DEEP, Ms. Deshais managed hearing officers and mediators as well as overseeing her own hearing docket. She mediated environmental matters and advised DEEP on issues impacting administrative hearings and the provision of due process. She taught Environmental Law and Policy as an adjunct at the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut and lectured on administrative policy and practice at the University of Connecticut School of Law. She holds a BA in History and Political Science from the University of St. Joseph, a Master’s in public policy from Trinity College in Hartford, a JD from Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, and previously served as NAHO’s President.
