Prof. Usman is a tenured faculty member at Belmont University College of Law. In her current position as Director of Legal Information and Communication, she leads the law school’s legal
writing program. She also serves as a legal writing consultant for the Tennessee Court of Workers’ Compensation and the Tennessee administrative Procedures Division. Prof. Usman
previously served as law clerk to the Honorable Martha Craig Daughtrey of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. She earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School where she was
editor of the Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif.
