Description
This session would address how adjudicators come across in the hearing room, and how that shapes litigants' perception of fairness regardless of the outcome. The class will explore both the internal side (mindset, self-awareness, real-time self-correction) and the external side (presence, tone, body language) and tackle the very real challenge that many litigants walk in expecting "Judge Judy" to yell at them, and leave confused when they get a fair, procedurally-grounded hearing instead.
