This class will cover solutions to common problems such as navigating working in the same agency (or school) with the parties who appear before you, how to handle the hearing when the agency (or school) puts on a very poor case, hearings held in absentia due to disruptive behavior or refusal to participate, proper issuance of bench decisions, and dealing with disrespectful or unprofessional conduct by attorneys. The class will also include judicial maxims or catchphrases to maintain hearing control but keep your evidentiary options open.
