Two-hour Session with Breakout Section Discussions Facilitated by Section Leaders Bixby 1, 2 &5 NAHO members and conference attendees tend to be enthusiastic about the work they do, recognizing that providing a fair hearing to prevent government entities from running roughshod over citizens affords a measure of justice that citizens wouldn’t otherwise receive. But all of them also acknowledge that the system isn’t perfect—that there are pros and cons, advantages and disadvantages to the way our individual hearings operate and to the way that individual parties behave or misbehave in our hearings. This two-hour session is your opportunity to gather with adjudicators who preside over the same hearings you do, or at least hearings very similar to yours, to share views on policy, parties to proceedings, peculiarities, and processes that you all have in common, while learning from and valuing one another’s efforts. Discussions will be facilitated by adjudicators within that section who preside over the same type of hearings.
