Lauren Ward-Allen, Ed.D., CHO, NCC, has been a member of NAHO since December 2015 and is the Acting Director of Safe and Orderly Schools for the Anne Arundel County Public School System in Annapolis, Maryland. She has over 30 years in public education working as a school discipline hearing officer, pupil personnel worker, school counselor, teacher, and adjunct college professor. In addition to being a nationally certified as a Hearing Officer by NAHO, Dr. she is also nationally certified as a counselor. After receiving both her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (1990) and master’s degree in School Counseling (1993) at Towson State University, she went on to earn her doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University of Sarasota (2002) and her certification as a School Administrator at Goucher College (2002). She also holds School Superintendent Certification in Maryland.
