Easy, efficient hearings don’t just happen. They’re created. To set the stage for a great hearing, you must have the right opening script. We may have begun our careers using a script from our predecessors. As hearing officials, we have the inherent authority to draft scripts of our choosing which open our hearings in a way that enables understanding and stimulates cooperation. This class will provide the elements that must be in every script and discuss how to put that essential information into a format which is easily understood, sounds professional, and provides the information and explanations for a smooth, comprehensive hearing.
