This session will provide recommendations for issuing sanctions not specifically set by statutes or regulations, such as undefined monetary damages, choosing a sanction from within a range of pre-determined limits, and deciding whether to impose a pre-set sanction that is not mandatory. The session will also offer advice on how to investigate the boundaries of your discretion and make appropriate decisions within those limits.
