Description

Vehicular technological advancements have begun to dominate roadways everywhere. Improvements include everything from enhanced safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistive technology to vehicles with full self-driving functionality. The near future will reveal more fully automated vehicles requiring an innovative approach to case resolution. Decision-makers will need new tools, laws, policies, or legislation to understand and regulate the new technological landscape. This session will explore the issues related to the use of autonomous vehicles, particularly commercial motor vehicles, and the need for new legal approaches when assessing and determining applicability to existing cases.
