Description

From 1925 to the present, the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal courts issued dozens of opinions regarding what type of behavior schools can prohibit, how far students’ rights go, and what conduct schools must allow. These opinions are law. ALL districts must abide by them. Student discipline hearing officers will find them interesting and useful. This isn’t a dull recitation of a series of cases, but a lively class designed to be interactive and to explore how and why student discipline hearing officers do what they do the way they do…and how not to do some things.
