Since 1978, Professor Ogden has taught administrative law, civil procedure, professional responsibility, and remedies. He’s a graduate of UCLA, (BA, cum laude) UC Davis School of Law (JD, Law Review Editor), has an LLM from Temple University in Legal Education, and an LLM from Columbia University in Administrative Law. He was the founding faculty editor of the Pepperdine Dispute Resolution Law Journal in 1999-2000 and he was instrumental in bringing the Journal of the NAALJ to Pepperdine Caruso Law School in 2000-2001 where he served as its faculty editor from 2000 to 2017. Professor Ogden has spoken numerous times at conferences on topics related to administrative law, legal ethics and judicial ethics, with an emphasis on the ethical duties of ALJs. He was the 1999 NAALJ fellowship recipient, and his paper on Demeanor Evidence was published in the Journal of the NAALJ in the Spring of 2000.He has edited and authored numerous administrative law textbooks and has spoken at numerous continuing legal and judicial education conferences on administrative law, judicial ethics and related topics.
