Name
7A Recognizing What Doesn’t Work: Hearing Management Tips We Learned the Hard Way (M)
Description
All hearing officials make mistakes, especially early in their careers. It has long been accepted that we learn more from mistakes than from successes. Success can lead to complacency. Mistakes highlight imperfections, encourage us to take responsibility, and provide valuable feedback leading to long-term growth and resilience. Mistakes show us flaws in our approach, forcing us to identify what needs to be changed. In this two hour session with breakout discussion groups, we will share what we learned from mistakes within the sympathetic, supportive environment provided by our fellow adjudicators. Discussions groups will be led by members of the NAHO Board of Directors.
