This session will focus on modeling respectful communication using polite and considerate language, addressing disagreements or conflicts in a constructive yet courteous manner, consciousness of how our actions and reactions impact others, and appreciating and celebrating differences in cultures, perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. The importance of creating an environment of mutual understanding and respect—an environment which fosters positive interactions—will be examined, as well as civility as a tool to strengthen communities.
